Peace That Passes All Understanding

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

We’re in a time where there is much concern about what is happening in our world. There is also continued concern and sometimes fear regarding our health, our freedoms, and our own county.  This is in addition to each person’s individual trials concerning their relationships, money, insecurities, and so on.

But these are the very things that Jesus came for!  He came so we could rise above these troubling things. 

I don’t know how to stop these things from happening.  Even Jesus didn’t remove trouble out of the world.  But He did remove us from the world.  By coming into us, He moved us into Him, into Peace.  Those whose mind is stayed on Him will be kept in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

I know this peace.  It is well in my soul.  I am amazed at how powerful this peace is, even though there is much turmoil swarming about me, and of course life has its daily challenges. 

Living in this place of awareness is just so good, that I want everybody to know this.  No matter what you are dealing with, I want all to know this peace that passes worldly understanding. 

This is what Jesus came for.   He came for times like these.  He is the Prince of Peace, and He knew if He could give us the kind of peace that only comes from Him, we could be of good cheer, because we have overcome the world with a strong, fixed heart.

I know that I could not enjoy my days without Jesus.  No wonder we love Him.
