We Are The Church
As we look at the beauty of the gospel, we become truly awestruck by the goodness and copiousness of God’s heart. We come to realize that He is Love, and nothing less.
We begin to notice that so many things that once seemed vital, even urgent, become small in the light of Love. The knowledge of good and evil gives way to a higher life and a higher cause.
Things are changing in the hearts of those who trust their Father. More and more, we are seeing what He sees, and feeling what He feels. We are becoming like Him in our words and actions (and reactions). We will one day be recognized as the vessels that carry the healing for humankind.
We are the Church. We’ve made many mistakes. Historically, we’ve often misrepresented our Father’s heart, but we will grow, because we are the Church.
We are being taught by our Father. We are learning Love. We will learn it, because we are the Church.
We are learning humility. Though we have often fought with fear, and seen the world as an enemy, we are learning to trust our Father and be at rest in our souls. We will get it right, because we are the Church.
We will embrace humanity with the same Love that our Father has. We will love and not be afraid. With full hearts, we will give and give and give some more, never being depleted, never lacking. We will be Christ to the precious people of this world. We will heal and not destroy. We will be a bright city on a hill. No longer will we withhold the one thing that the world needs, because we are the Church, and we will get this right.
“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.” – Numbers 14:21
“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.” – Romans 8:19
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” – John 13:35
Have a great day, and enjoy the changes!
