Then End of Craving, the Beginning of Knowing

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.  (Psalm 27:4, NKJV)

David had a craving, a longing, a hunger.. to be with God. I’m sure he had experienced an awareness of God’s presence at times, but he wanted to have this continually every day. He wanted to be able to behold the beauty and goodness of God because the distractions of everyday life can present some very ungodly and ugly situations.

David wanted to live in a place or in a way that he could always inquire of the Lord. I’m sure he had tasted something that let him know that there is a place with God where the soul is fulfilled and where we can actually know the Lord in a very intimate way.

It’s a craving that has been expressed by many and it is still expressed today by many believers in the Lord. Many are still expressing this type of hunger and desire, longing for a way, or longing for a day, when their heart can be perpetually filled by the nearness of God’s presence.

Well, I have good news! JESUS has taken us home. He has lifted us up and caused us to sit with Him in heavenly places. We are truly united with the Lord and there is no separation. All things have been made new. If we can only see it. Thank God that His Spirit is revealing this and making it a reality to people every day. Great joy is coming to their hearts because they have found out that they belong in the house.

They belong with God! They are in a relationship with complete access to the goodness of the Father. They are in a position where it is possible to be aware of God’s beauty constantly. They have come to a reality that allows them to inquire about the things of God and receive more truth so that they grow in knowing the very heart of God.

The TRUTH is what makes us free! As we become more aware of our oneness with God through Christ, we can feast more and more on the treasures of this heavenly realm where we now truly abide.

Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. (Colossians 3:2, TPT)
