New Creation

Jesus made a promise while He was on earth: 

“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7-8)

“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)

In the second chapter of Acts, we read about the fulfillment of this promise. It’s truly what separates the Old Covenant from the New Covenant: the unveiling of the Spirit of God within a believer, impacting the human soul in a positive way.

Like an electric current, the Holy Spirit has come into us and connected us with God, the Source. The current/power is within us now. We are no longer trying to get God outside of ourselves to do something for us. He’s given us everything already. He’s given us Himself.

The promise was made and it has happened. He is in us and will always be in us. We’ll constantly have help. The connection is always available. 

How do we walk in this promise Friend? 

We acknowledge it. 
Receive it. 
Grasp it and own it for ourselves. 
We enjoy it.
