Love is Stronger Than Death

As spring begins to flourish around us and Easter has come and gone, a great reminder settles in. New life is inevitable. Death is not the final say. Life everlasting is happening here and now.

Springtime teaches us that new life comes after a long, cold winter, a seeming death. Springtime shows us that seed and harvest will come. Springtime is a beautiful inevitability.

The sunrise teaches us that light springs forth out of darkness. The dark night is not the end. There is a comfort in the reliance of the sun always rising. We can count on it. We are comforted by its consistency.

The Resurrection teaches us that death does not have the last word. Jesus showed us that there is life after death. He opened the door to everlasting life. And His resurrection proved that LOVE (God’s kind of Love) is much stronger than death or hate or fear.

There is much hope for us in this season of spring and resurrection and transformation. We come out of our winter cocoons and move outdoors to revel in the newness, the sunrises, the birds chirping, the nature coming alive before our eyes. Breathe it in.

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22, NKJV)

Let’s take a moment to really appreciate the many ways our Creator endeavors to show us how valuable we are to Him and the lengths He goes to assure us that we are safe in His love. We are held, we are comforted, we are seen. As the Son shines upon us, new life is coming forth within us. It is inevitable.

Happy Spring!
